New Manual on Crude Oils Now Available from ASTM International



W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.-A new comprehensive manual on crude oils is available from ASTM International. Manual 68, Crude Oils: Their Sampling, Analysis and Evaluation, covers a combination of subject materials related to crude oil sampling, quality determination and evaluation.

Manual 68 features eight chapters that cover:
  • Obtaining representative samples from tanks, pipelines and marine vessels;
  • Understanding the complex chemistry of crude oils;
  • Selecting test methods best suited to obtain physical and chemical data; and
