ASTM International Temperature Measurement Committee Presents Thompson Award to Frank Liebmann



W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., —Frank Liebmann, radiation thermometery engineer at Fluke Calibration in American Fork, Utah, has received the R.D. Thompson Award for his work on ASTM International Committee E20 on Temperature Measurement.



A member of ASTM International since 2008, Liebmann was cited for his dedication to the development of temperature measurement standards and his ongoing contributions to the committee, which include his service as chairman of Subcommittee E20.02 on Radiation Thermometry.



Liebmann, who specializes in electronic design, physical systems modeling and radiation thermometry, served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. He began his professional civilian career at Radiant Laboratories, Salt Lake City, Utah, after earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Utah, and joined Fluke Calibration in 2003.



In addition to ASTM International, Liebmann is a member of Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI), the Association of German Engineers.
