ASTM Committee honors Kevin VonScio's leadership skills.

Kevin VonScio of Perryman Co. received Lundell-Bright Memorial Award from ASTM International Committee E01 on Analytical Chemistry for Metals, Ores and Related Materials. This award honors VonScio's leadership skills as chairman of Subcommittee E01.22 on Laboratory Quality as well as chairman of task group that developed ASTM E2857, Standard Guide for Validating Analytical Methods. ASTM International member since 2008, VonScio also serves as secretary of Subcommittee E01.06.

ASTM International Committee on Analytical Chemistry for Metals, Ores and Related Materials Honors Kevin VonScio



W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — Kevin VonScio, laboratory manager at the Perryman Co. in Houston, Pa., has received the Lundell-Bright Memorial Award from ASTM International Committee E01 on Analytical Chemistry for Metals, Ores and Related Materials.



VonScio was honored for his outstanding leadership skills, both as chairman of Subcommittee E01.22 on Laboratory Quality and as chairman of the task group that developed ASTM E2857, Standard Guide for Validating Analytical Methods. A member of ASTM International since 2008. VonScio also serves as secretary of Subcommittee E01.06 and received the E01 Award of Appreciation in 2009.



A graduate of the California University of Pennsylvania where he earned a B.S. in chemistry, VonScio also holds an M.S. in chemistry from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. in materials science and engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.  He assumed his role at Perryman in 2006.
