Bethesda, MD – The Adhesive and Sealant Council’s (ASC) Fall Convention and EXPO will feature four keynote speakers covering a wide array of business trends impacting the adhesives and sealants marketplace.  The Fall Convention and EXPO will be held October 20-22, 2014 in Greenville, South Carolina.

The following leaders will be participating in the Fall Convention and EXPO as keynotes:

David Crowe, Ph.D. – Chief Economist and Senior Vice President from National Association of Home Builders – Dr. Crowe will update attendees on macro-economic trends, and provide data on the building and construction industry – ASC member companies’ second largest market sector.

Bob Marquette, Senior Vice President, Bostik Americas – Marquette will discuss Bostik’s approach to innovation as part of the company’s celebration of 125 years in business.

Rick Farrell, President of Tangent Knowledge Systems – Farrell will highlight trends in value selling for attendees.

Chuck Houk, Chuck Houk, President, Tremco Sealants & Waterproofing and Michael Cohen, President, Industry Sky Works– Houk and Cohen will highlight how drone technology is providing customer value for Tremco Roofing & Building Maintenance Division and the potential for using this technology for vertical wall systems, expanding the ability to quickly pinpoint gaps throughout the building envelope.

“ASC’s Fall Convention and EXPO keynote addresses will challenges attendees’ thoughts on market performance, innovation, selling value and leveraging emerging technology for customers’ needs,” notes Matthew E. Croson, President of ASC.  “This strong lineup of keynotes will join our equally as impressive technical content that will include more than 45 papers over two days.”

ASC’s Convention will include 45 papers from industry leaders, supporting tracks that will focus on the following topics:

Raw Material Trends

Formulation

Building Envelope Trends

End User Trends

Regulatory Affairs

Sealant Innovations

Environmental Product Declarations

Advanced Technology Research

Small Business

Equipment Focus

“The program is currently in production with almost 75% of the speaking slots already committed to by industry,” adds Croson.  “We expect another fully programmed event with sessions filling out the entire two days of the meeting.”

The Fall Convention and EXPO will also feature the return of the Council’s highly popular “Speed Networking” lunch. This lunch provides members with an opportunity to meet six new contacts over the course of one hour long lunch.  Suppliers sit next to manufacturers, with the manufacturers switching seats after each course.  The result is that attendees get to meet six new people who they sit next to during lunch.

“When you have more than 600 people attending an event, it can be hard to meet new people as they go from session to session, and meeting to meeting,” notes Croson.  “The Speed Networking event provides an opportunity to slow down, meet some industry professionals and add to an attendees’ network.  Reservations are needed for this free, first come, first serve event and will be made available when attendees register.”
