ASABE to Revise Agricultural Braking Standard
ST JOSEPH, MICHIGAN- The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has initiated a project to revise ANSI/ASAE S365.9, Braking System Test Procedures and Braking Performance Criteria for Agricultural Field Equipment.
The revision is part of an ongoing effort by the ASABE Braking committee to provide state-of-the-art guidance regarding braking technologies. This revision will focus on details concerning the use of implements and towed equipment.
ASABE is recognized worldwide as a standards developing organization for food, agricultural, and biological systems, with more than 240 standards currently in publication. Conformance to ASABE standards is voluntary, except where required by state, provincial, or other governmental requirements, and the documents are developed by consensus in accordance with procedures approved by the American National Standards Institute.
