ASABE revises protective agents terminology/definition standard.

August 2, 2012 - ASAE S327.4, Terminology and Definitions for Application of Crop or Forestry Production and Protection Agents, was previously titled Terminology and Definitions for Application of Crop, Animal, or Forestry Production and Protection Agents. Governing committee determined standard is no longer used for animal production, and title and scope were revised accordingly. Other changes include format pagination updates and clarifications to spray drift and air assist sprayer definitions.

ST JOSEPH, MICHIGAN- The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has revised its definition and terminology standard for production and protective agents.

The revised standard, ASAE S327.4, Terminology and Definitions for Application of Crop or Forestry Production and Protection Agents, was previously titled Terminology and Definitions for Application of Crop, Animal, or Forestry Production and Protection Agents. The governing committee for the standard determined the standard is no longer used for animal production. The title and scope were revised accordingly. Other changes made were format pagination updates and clarifications to the spray drift and air assist sprayer definitions.

ASABE members with standards access and those with site-license privileges can access the full-text of the standard by electronic download in about a week. Location for the download is on the ASABE online Technical Library at: elibrary.asabe.org. Others can obtain a copy for a fee directly from the library or by contacting ASABE headquarters at martin@asabe.org.
