ARINC Direct Now Offering Custom Aircraft Interior Work On-Site at Scottsdale

Annapolis, Maryland, USA, May 22, 2008-ARINC DirectSM today announced it is offering complete custom interior modification work on-site for corporate aircraft at its Scottsdale AZ aircraft facility. The company has recently added new offices for an in-house interior designer and an interior engineering specialist, rounding out a facility expansion that began with a custom cabinetry shop in November.

"With a fully-qualified interior designer and an interior engineer now on site, we can give our customers what they always want-individual attention and a fast turnaround," stated Jorge Gonzalez, ARINC Direct Manager, Scottsdale Air Center.

Interior design consultation can include cabin furnishings, colors, materials, textures, and floor plans. Customers can view designs with electronic renderings to enhance the decision process prior to starting cabin modifications. The interior engineer can expedite structural drawings and interior prints, and streamline the DER approval process for interior modifications, allowing design changes to be made with minimal delays.

ARINC Scottsdale also announced today the completion of its largest aircraft interior project to date, a complete cabin modification of a customer's Piaggio Avanti P180. The work included virtually everything in the cabin from floor to ceiling-seats, paneling, storage, and consoles-with custom woodwork throughout.

"Customers know that good interior work can often mean weeks of aircraft downtime. Having our interior shop right on the premises with an on-site design and engineering team is a major benefit," continued Gonzalez. "With this expanded in-house capability we now offer customers fast and efficient completion-whether they're repairing, recovering, or completely updating their aircraft interiors."

The ARINC Direct Scottsdale cabinet shop offers cabinet repairs, re-veneering, and custom cabinet fabrication to exacting specifications. In addition to cabinet work and upholstery, ARINC Direct can also install the latest electronic technologies for cabin interior lighting and new entertainment systems.

With engineering staff on site, many cabin design changes can be made almost immediately, with less time between drawing changes and implementation. Customers may also be able to reduce downtime by scheduling interior work at the same time as other aircraft modifications or inspection work. Fire blocking is also available in order to meet FAA Part 135 regulations.
