Tests Show That These AR Worldwide RF/Microwave Instrumentation Amplifiers Reproduce Signals With Remarkable Fidelity

Souderton, PA - 4/4/06 - A much larger signal than the typical Vector Signal generator can produce is needed for testing many WiMAX output devices. Therefore an amplifier is needed to produce these signals. The amplifier must have sufficient power to do the testing, but it must also maintain the original signal quality.

Two "S" Series amplifiers from AR Worldwide RF/Microwave Instrumentation were recently tested on a Rohde & Schwarz WiMAX test system to determine the quality of their reproduced signals. The AR Worldwide 50S1G4A (50 watts / 0.8-4.2 GHz) and the 10S4G11 (10 watts / 4-10.6 GHz) were measured at 3.7 GHz and 5.8 GHz and found to reproduce the signals with remarkable fidelity. The same performance is assured across the entire bandwidth of the amplifiers as it is fwith all "S" series amplifiers.

The tests showed that the amplifier's output signal was almost indistinguishable from the signal generator's output. The amplifier's ability to provide more 1dB compression power and higher 3rd order intercepts allow the test engineer to get more useable power than competitive units. With AR Worldwide amplifiers, testers don't need to buy a 100 watt amplifier in order to get 50 watts of useable power.
