Press release date: May 19, 2008

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has named James E. Lee, founder and principal of C2M2 Associates, chairman of the Identity Theft Prevention and Identity Management Standards Panel (IDSP). Administered by ANSI, the IDSP is a cross-sector coordinating body working to facilitate the development of voluntary consensus standards that will help the marketplace combat identity theft and fraud.

Lee is the former SVP & chief public and consumer affairs officer for ChoicePoint, an IDSP Sustaining Partner, where he also served as chief marketing officer for six years. His new company, C2M2 Associates, is an Atlanta-based consulting group specializing in brand/reputation creation, management and restoration. Previously, he was an executive at International Paper Company. In 2006-2007, he co-chaired the IDSP working group on identity issuance and served as a member of Panel's steering committee.

Frequently interviewed by the media about the use of consumer information, technology and privacy issues, Lee is a member of the Board of Directors of the Identity Theft Resource Center, an Advisory Board member of TrustedID, and a member of the Georgia State University Marketing Roundtable. His successful corporate career has earned him and his teams numerous awards and recognition as experts in the fields of marketing, communications and public affairs.

"We are delighted to have James at the helm of the IDSP," commented Jim McCabe, IDSP director. "He is an expert on the issues involved, a demonstrated leader, personable, and already well acquainted with the Panel and its operations."

"I am excited about the IDSP's work program for 2008 and look forward to working with the ANSI team," remarked Lee. "ID theft is a thorny problem where creative thinking, perseverance, standards and best practices are needed to stay ahead of the game. The IDSP is well-positioned to continue to make a significant contribution in this area."

Lee's predecessor as IDSP Chairman, Joe Gurreri, assumed a new position as president of Errand Solutions, LLC earlier this year.
