BSI Standards Now Available on ANSI Webstore

WASHINGTON, Nov. 17 / / - The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has announced that its webstore.ansi.org, a website for the purchase and download of U.S. and other national, regional, or international standards, now offers the complete collection of standards from the British Standards Institution (BSI) for the convenience of U.S. stakeholders.

"ANSI is pleased to partner with BSI to offer these internationally recognized standards to our customers," said George Gulla, ANSI vice president of publications. "This comprehensive set of documents is a valuable addition to the approximately 200,000 standards offered on the Institute's webstore."

Comprised of nearly 30,000 documents, the BSI body of standards addresses a wide range of topics critical to every industry, from agriculture to transport systems. The collection also includes all of the standards developed by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) as adopted by the British Standards Institution.

"Leveraging the ANSI brand will allow BSI to reach more companies and individuals. BSI content will provide companies interested in placing goods or services into the European Union a gateway for compliance with the New Approach Directives," explained Stuart V. Radcliffe, BSI vice president, business development.

Earlier this year, ANSI announced the launch of several new dynamic features on its webstore that enhance the user's experience, including auto-complete for document number searches, RSS feeds, and e-mail-a-friend functionality. The new capabilities make it quick and easy for webstore users to find what they are looking for, explore related information, and share their findings with their colleagues.

Standards from BSI and over 100 other standards developers are available for purchase on ANSI's electronic Standards Store (eSS) at webstore.ansi.org.
