ANSI Welcomes Nearly 200 to New DC Headquarters Reception

Canapés, cocktails, and camaraderie were on the menu yesterday at an open house reception hosted by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Nearly 200 guests came through the doors at 1899 L Street NW to check out the Institute's new and improved Washington headquarters.

"ANSI's new space is larger and more flexible, but it also offers cutting edge communications technologies, making it easier than ever before for the Institute to host meetings, convene videoconferences, and meet the needs of our membership," explained president and CEO S. Joe Bhatia. "The new office demonstrates our strong commitment to expanding our program and service offerings for the benefit of the entire U.S. standardization community."

Located just down the street from its former location, ANSI's new headquarters remains within close reach of its government and industry partners in Washington, DC. [see related article]

Attendees were primarily ANSI members from standards developing organizations, trade associations, government agencies, and companies based in the DC metropolitan area. Other tenants from the building also joined in the fun and took the opportunity to get to know their new neighbor.

A photo slideshow offers a taste of the festivities for those who were not able to attend. ANSI has also posted pictures on its Facebook page; any attendees with photos of their own are welcome to upload them to the fan photos section.
