Poway, Ca - 7/13/2011 -- Advanced Machining & Tooling, Inc. (AMT) www.amtmfg.com ,a California Corporation, has received a three year long term contract (LTA) from Northrop Grumman. AMT is contracted to produce a critical precision component to support the production of Northrop's Fiber Optic Gyro navigation instruments. Northrop Grumman Navigation System has produced well in excess of 70,000 fiber optic gyros used in a wide variety of inertial products.
AMT CEO Terry Deane stated "After two years of development, testing and verifying our precision component, the three year contract was awarded. Being awarded a Northrop Gold Supplier last year was very satisfying and receiving the production contract to supply this critical part for three years is even more rewarding!"
