AMICAS adds order entry to zero client personalized portal for referring physicians
BOSTON, Nov. 12 -- AMICAS, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMCS), a leader in radiology and medical image and information management solutions, today announced that it will launch Vision Reach(TM) 2.0, an innovative tool that can help imaging businesses grow by attracting referrals and securing referring physician loyalty, at the 2007 Radiological Society of North America annual meeting from November 25 to 30, 2007, in Chicago, IL. AMICAS will be in booth #2583.
Vision Reach 2.0 includes a Web-based radiology order entry capability, which enables referring physicians and their staff to order exams online directly from completed reports or from the Vision Reach portal -- in addition to receiving instantaneous secure notification when radiology reports are available.
This functionality builds on Vision Reach's unique zero client architecture -- which means no software to download and no plug-ins to worry about -- and its ability to integrate the radiology report with key images and create a single "multi-media" report for referring physicians. Vision Reach also includes a personalized referring portal for physicians and their staff of all current and historical exams.
