AMCA International Inc. Selects Michael Ivanovich, MSCE, as New Director of Strategic Energy Initiatives


Arlington Heights, IL, USA-The Air Movement and Control Association Inc. (AMCA) International, Inc.- AMCA International is pleased to announce that Michael Ivanovich will be AMCA's first Director of Strategic Energy Initiatives. In this role, Mr. Ivanovich will advance AMCA's leadership position in national and international efforts to reduce air-system energy waste in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.

Mr. Ivanovich is currently president of The Ivanovich Group, LLC, which provides strategic planning, research, training, and communications services to the buildings industry.

Mr. Ivanovich brings a multifaceted background to AMCA that includes careers as an award-winning editor-in-chief for Consulting-Specifying Engineer and HPAC Engineering magazines; executive director for the Building Commissioning Association; senior program manager for Portland Energy Conservation Inc.; and senior research scientist for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He has a master's degree in civil engineering with a specialization in building systems engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from Utica College of Syracuse University.

Among the energy initiatives that Mr. Ivanovich will lead are development and refinement of energy and green-construction codes, standards, and specifications; market research and analysis; and the development and delivery of air-system education, training, and outreach programs for a broad spectrum of professionals involved in the buildings industry.
