DESIGNED TO HELP STAMPERS LOWER COSTS AND RAISE PRODUCTIVITY
DAYTON, Ohio-(August 29, 2008) AIDA's press solutions equip stampers to meet changing part requirements in a global economy. At Booth #1238 AIDA will demonstrate its NC1-110 gap frame press equipped with ServoProŽ, technology that provides, within microns, infinite control of slide position.
ServoPro allows customers to select short stroke options without sacrificing speed. With the ability to program up to 20 different velocities for a single stroke, ServoPro makes it possible for one press to do the job of several presses. Controlling stroke velocity also improves customers' ability to form high strength materials, extends die life, increases production and can eliminate secondary operations for processes like in-die tapping.
And since AIDA's ServoPro technology uses capacitors to store energy when the servo motor is not under load (the nonworking portion of the stroke), when the motor is loaded, power is drawn from the capacitors and not a manufacturer's main line. As a result, power consumption is often less than that of a standard mechanical press. AIDA offers a wide range of tonnages for its servo driven presses 80 to 2,300 tons.
