AIA Congratulates Panetta on Nomination



Arlington, Va. - The Aerospace Industries Association offers its congratulations to CIA Director Leon E. Panetta on his nomination by President Obama to succeed Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates.

"Director Panetta has a long and distinguished career as a public servant," said AIA President and CEO Marion C. Blakey. "He brings far-reaching expertise and insight to the position at a time when ongoing conflicts and budget pressures require a particularly strong leader at the department's helm."

Industry is looking forward to meeting soon the new secretary.
