Press release date: January 26, 2010

Erie, PA - Automation Devices, Inc. (ADI) Swan-Matic Division has expanded its line of bottle cap tightening equipment and accessories. This unique line ranges from benchtop cappers to various models of handheld cappers, including an array of quality assurance test measuring equipment. With an extensive product line, Swan-Matic can fulfill the needs of virtually any capping requirement.

All capping machines require an aluminum driver shell or an elastomer insert with a shell. A variety of cap driver shells and driver inserts are available for purchase and are in stock. Inserts are available in urethane, vinyl and rubber, in a variety of colors and durometers. Cap drivers can be custom made to fit various configurations of cap and bottle designs. Swan-Matic engineers can help customers determine what driver shell and inserts will work best to meet their needs. Bob Pacansky, Swan-Matic engineer, says customers have their choice between 20 different capping machine designs. "A large inventory of cap drivers are in stock, but custom aluminum serrated cap drivers can be designed and shipped within days," explains Pacansky.

Cappers are available in a variety of models. Single cycle cappers operate when power is applied, allowing the capper to produce continuous rotating and reciprocating motions. Continuous-cycle cappers operate with uninterrupted motion. Power to the machine is controlled by a toggle switch and when turned on, the shaft begins to oscillate up and down causing the shell and insert to move in a helical motion. Hand-held cappers offer an ergonomically correct solution for small production jobs.

Swan-Matic capping machines are recognized world-wide for quality and reliability. Swan-Matic systems are safe and prevent user fatigue while increasing productivity and efficiency. Swan-Matic provides capping solutions and accessories designed for small to medium production runs to a wide variety of industries and is a division of Automation Devices Inc. They are located in Fairview, Pa just outside of Erie.
