Irvine, California, USA - MIMOT announces the sale of a second Advantage 2 medium-volume, high-flexibility placement system for high-mix production to Illinois EMS ACC Electronix, Inc.
In making the announcement, Joerg Widmer, General Manager of MIMOT's U.S. facility in Irvine, said "ACC is a rapidly-growing contract manufacturer. They bought their first MIMOT Advantage 2 last year. With this second machine they will put a second manufacturing line in place to double their capacity. ACC likes our system for its flexibility and reliability. We are pleased that they are satisfied with our service and the quality of our equipment to invest in a second Advantage 2."
The 12,000 c/h Advantage 2 offers a range of features including parallel pickup capability of up to 5 components at the same time, fast-flash and parallel-processing for fast component centering, vision on-the-fly for chip- and fine pitch components, and will place a range of components from 0201 - 55 mm x 55 mm or bigger with multishot software. The system also incorporates the MIMOT Smart Feeder concept.
