AASHTO Issues Praise for proposed transportation funding levels.

AASHTO Praises Senate's Proposed Transportation Funding Levels in Continuing Resolution



WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials today expressed support for proposed transportation funding levels in the Senate's version of a continuing resolution that would fund government operations through September 2013.



"We strongly support the transportation funding levels in the Senate's continuing resolution, which provides for the full funding of all the programs included in MAP-21," said Bud Wright, AASHTO executive director. "The Senate's continuing resolution recognizes that the nation's economic recovery remains dependent on the funding levels envisioned in MAP-21 and now is not the time to deviate from those levels."
