AAEON Announces Three New Mini-ITX Industrial Boards with 4th Generation Intel® CoreTM I Series Processors for NVR and Thin PC System Markets

Taipei, Taiwan – AAEON, a major developer of industrial computing solutions, today announces the release of the three new Mini-ITX industrial boards: EMB-QM87A, EMB-CV2, which are designed to fulfill the growing needs of NVR and industry automation markets, and EMB-Q87A , designed for AIO and digital signage applications.
As there is a growing need of deploying reliable and cost-effective IP video surveillance solutions in public and private sectors, the NVR systems become the industry standard for long term video capturing and storage. In order to meet the needs of optimized video surveillance solutions, AAEON responds with the introduction of these two Intel Mini-ITX industrial motherboards: EMB-QM87A and EMB-CV2.
The EMB-QM87A is a Mini-ITX form factor board featuring a 4th generation Intel ®Core™ i7/i5 processor and the mobile Intel QM87 Express chipset. It supports two DDR3L 1333/1600 SODIMMs with a maximum of 16GB memory. Four SATA 6.0Gb/s ports and two SATA 3.0Gb/s ports provide ample storage space. Meanwhile, this board offers rich I/O expansion capability including four USB2.0 ports, six USB3.0 ports, one keyboard/mouse and five COM ports. Users can increase board functionality with one PCIe [x16, one Mini-PCIe slot and one optional TPM module. The EMB-QM87A has two Gigabit Ethernet ports to help with fast internet connection. This motherboard supports dual display and three independent displays via VGA and HDMI.
The EMB-CV2 is also a Mini-ITX form factor board adopting onboard Intel® ICH10R chipset. The EMB-CV2 has a dual core Intel® Atom™ D2550 processor. Built on the 32nm process technology, the EMB-CV2 brings the latest technological advances and performance optimizations at higher CPU clock rates than previously available. It comes with two DDR3 1066 SODIMM slots to support a maximum of 4 GB of memory. Equipped with one RS-232 ports, one RS-232/422/485 port, six USB2.0 ports (four onboard type A connectors and two 5x2 pin headers), six SATA3.0Gb’s ports, one Line-in/Line-out/Mic-in port as well as one Keyboard/Mouse port, the EMB-CV2 is ready to go, right out of the box. If additional expansion is required, the board comes with one PCI-Express [x4 slot.
Following Intel’s Thin Mini-IX based PC system design, the EMB-Q87A Mini-ITX board is only 17.84mm in height and can be equipped with a choice of processors from the 4th generation Intel Core processor family and the Intel Q87 Express chipset. This board also supports up to three independent displays via LVDS, VGA, HDMI or DP. With flexible I/O design, the EMB- Q87A has four SATA6.0Gb/s ports for operating system and ample storage, along with two Gigabit LAN ports for optimal networking, two COM ports, ten USB ports, one PCI-E2.0[x4 slot, one full-size Mini-Card with optional mSATA slot and one half-size Min- Card slot. By providing a wide power range from 12~24VDC, the EMB- Q87A is ideally suited for a variety of applications and offers unmatchable expansion capabilities.
