Air & Waste Management Association Presents Series of 2008 Webinars



Pittsburgh, PA (October 6, 2008) The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) is presenting a series of Webinars for environmental professionals on topics related to air quality. These Webinars will discuss significant air litigation court cases, the basics of air quality modeling, the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR) vacatur, and the EPA's newly revised air quality standards for lead.

"These Webinars provide a convenient opportunity for participants to access the most current information on environmental issues directly from industry leaders," said Adrianne Carolla, A&WMA Executive Director.

The Webinar series will begin with "Environmental Law: Air Litigation Update" October 30 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern, with a review of court cases involving air quality issues including climate change and New Source Review provisions.

On November 13 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern, "Urgent CAIR: Clean Air Interstate Rule Overturned - Now What?" will discuss the CAIR vacatur, its ramifications, and potential solutions.

"Air Quality Modeling - The Basics," November 18 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern, will cover the fundamentals of air quality modeling, including uses, types, and method availability.

On December 11 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern, "Revised National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Lead" will discuss details of this EPA revision with officials that implemented the change.
