Air & Waste Management Association Offers Expansive Student Program at 103rd Annual Conference & Exhibition
Pittsburgh, PA - The Air & Waste Management Association's (A&WMA) 103rd Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE), June 22-25, 2010, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada will offer an exciting program for students that includes ample opportunities for education, professional development, and networking.
"ACE 2010 will offer students who are interested in pursuing a career in the growing environmental field the chance to gain professional experience and enhance their resumes while making vital industry contacts," said Mike Kelly, A&WMA Executive Director.
ACE provides opportunities for students to present and publish their work, and to gain recognition for exceptional work by winning awards and cash prizes. Undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students can participate in the Environmental Challenge International (ECi), a student team competition which requires teams to develop and present a multidisciplinary solution to a "real-life" environmental issue. Over $15,000 in prize money will be awarded to the winning teams.
ACE also gives students the chance to network with environmental professionals from around the globe, to gain valuable career advice; and attend career building events including a speed networking session, and a career panel discussion.
