Air & Waste Management Association Issues Call for Abstracts for Practical Sustainability Conference
Pittsburgh, PA (October 27, 2008) The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) has issued a call for abstracts for "Practical Sustainability," a conference to be held May 7-8, 2009, in St. Louis, MO. The conference will focus on sustainability measurement in organizations.
"Practical Sustainability" will provide a forum for the exchange of information on how organizations are measuring and demonstrating sustainability in ways that make business sense both financially and culturally.
A&WMA is seeking abstracts that demonstrate innovative, scientific approaches to the implementation of sustainability methods. Suggested topics for abstracts include, but are not limited to:
o Strategy development
o Implementation
o Process management
o Data collection, analysis, and reporting
o Recognition, incentive, and offset opportunities
Abstracts of 300 words or less should be submitted to Lisa Breese at lbreese@awma.org for review by December 5, 2008. Authors will be notified of acceptance by January 16, 2009.
