A&WMA, EPRI, USEPA, and U.S. DOE have issued Call for Abstracts for 8th MEGA Symposium, August 30 - September 2, 2010, in Baltimore, MD. Abstracts of 150 words or less must be submitted by January 11, 2010, and should summarize results and demonstrate technical depth of proposed paper. Symposium will showcase latest development and operational experience with air pollution controls from fossil-fired power plants and examine methods for reducing hazardous air pollutant emissions.

Call for Abstracts for Power Plant Air Pollutant Control 'MEGA' Symposium



Pittsburgh, PA (October 13, 2009) The Electric Power Research Institute, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Air & Waste Management Association have issued the Call for Abstracts for the eighth MEGA Symposium, August 30 - September 2, 2010, in Baltimore, MD.

This symposium will showcase the latest development and operational experience with air pollution controls from fossil-fired power plants in light of the evolving environmental regulatory directions, and will examine state-of-the-art methods for reducing SOx, NOx, CO2, particulate, mercury, and other hazardous air pollutant emissions. Presentations are also encouraged on experience with the impacts of plant cycling on air pollution controls.

Abstracts of 150 words or less should provide a summary of the results to be presented in the intended paper and should demonstrate the technical depth of the proposed paper. Priority will be given to papers that present new substantive experimental and/or analytical results.
