A&R Tarpaulins Achieves Milestone AS9100 Aerospace Certification to Revision 'C'

FONTANA -A&R Tarpaulins Inc. achieved a milestone when it became compliant with Revision C of the AS9100 certification.

"Complying with Revision C of the AS9100 certification puts us ahead of the pack as many other companies in this sector are still scrambling to get in compliance with this latest revision," said Kenny Weisbart, A&R general manager. "As an AS9100 certified company we are qualified to do business with such giant aerospace entities as Lockheed-Martin, Boeing, ULA, Northrop, Raytheon and Orbital Sciences Corporation."

The trucking, shade structure, and aerospace specialty fabrics manufacturer sells its products all over the world. Customers from Finland, Canada, Australia, and other international markets have purchased the Fontana-based company's products.

A&R Tarpaulins is already an ISO Quality certified company, and since 2001, A&R has kept its companywide ISO registration in full compliance.

"With these certifications, we establish that every product that is manufactured is made to the highest quality standards," said Lucy Rivera, A&R's Director of Marketing. "Whether we are making a tarp for a truck or a high insulation product for a satellite, we still follow the same manufacturing process structure and procedures."

A&R continues to expand its global reach and grow as a company, despite the recession. The manufacturer diversified its product offerings and provides products ranging from the octagon fighting mats for UFC, aerospace fabric products for satellites, awnings and canopies, truck tarps and tarp repair patches.

"Diversification, quality products and most importantly, a good team, keeps a business thriving during rough times," said Bud Weisbart, A&R vice president. "Truly, A&R is only as good as its people; without them, we would not be in business today and achieving milestones."
