A&A Global Industries Welcomes New Injection Molding Manager

November 15, 2011: With the retirement of long time Injection Molding Manager, Terry Loper, A&A's Global Industries welcomes Dave Baumgartel new head of the division. Mr. Baumgartel has over twenty-one years of experience in the plastics industry with a major focus in injection molding and thermoset. Originally born in Florida, Dave was appointed to West Point in 1973, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He has contributed his skills to various companies nationwide and internationally.

Mr. Baumgartel's work experience followed fifteen years as a Major in the U.S. Army, after which he immediately went to work in plastics learning part and mold design, project management, plant operations and most importantly, quality assurance. Dave's responsibilities include overseeing personnel, assisting in the designing of molds, allocating workload and liaising with the quality control team. He will also manage new and existing customers working towards total client satisfaction. Dave will also very active in the research and development stages of A&A's tool shop.

"I'm excited about bringing fresh and innovative insight to the A&A manufacturing division", said Dave who was initially impressed with A&A's ability to fabricate tool inserts in stainless steel and marveled at the expansive tool shop equipment. He also applauds A&A's material delivery system with polypropylene and the ability to change "on-the-fly" to run both short and long production runs. "Above all, I find the personal approach used with customers and team members to be inspiring - that's one of the benefits of working for a well established family owned and operated company.", said Dave.

Already thinking proactively, Mr. Baumgartel has made numerous goals for the performance of A&A's injection molding and tool & die divisions: continue to be ISO-9001 compliant and work towards certification, reduce scrap, achieve a higher level of team-work approach and create more job opportunity by expanding the manufacturing team. Dave also aspires to do more secondary and tertiary operations at the injection machines and work on production efficiencies.
