Los Angeles, CA -- A-Scan Laboratories, Inc., a world-class provider of full spectrum, non-destructive testing (NDT) services, is the first facility in the world to receive Nadcap accreditation for eddy current inspection, a status recognized by the majority of global aerospace primes as a mark of quality assurance excellence.

A-Scan now becomes the first facility in the Western US to receive Nadcap accreditation in five nondestructive testing (NDT) methods including:
  • Eddy current
  • Magnetic particle
  • Liquid penetrant
  • Radiography
  • Ultrasonic inspection
Nadcap accreditation represents a concerted, cooperative effort throughout the global aerospace and defense sectors to improve quality, while reducing costs.

Most aerospace prime contractors and secondary tier suppliers now adhere to Nadcap as it defines a standardized approach to quality assurance and establishes:
  • High Quality requirements
  • Standardized approach to Quality Assurance
  • Improved performance throughout the supply chain
  • Baseline requirements for accreditation
  • Expert auditors to ensure familiarity with special processes and conducting technically superior in-depth quality audits.
