BASF Corp.

WYANDOTTE, MI, November 10, 2009 -- BASF Corporation today announced that it is streamlining its Elastollan® Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) distribution business in North America. Elastollan distribution sales will now be through Alliance Polymers & Services LLC and Channel Prime Alliance.

"This action is consistent with our strategy to utilize distribution channel partners that effectively and efficiently reach the entire customer base," said Frank Bergonzi, Director, Corporate Distribution at BASF.

Alliance Polymers & Services LLC is a new distributor, uniquely formed to serve the TPU market. The owners have more than 30 years of combined experience, are dedicated to serving this market and are well-equipped to answer customers' technical questions and support their business development.

Channel Prime Alliance offers full sales and technical support coverage in the USA, Canada and Mexico. CPA also has an extensive warehouse and logistics network to service its customers. The addition of BASF Elastollan TPU enhances the current Channel Prime Alliance product lineup of plastics, rubber and TPE.

"BASF is committed to providing our customers with the best cost-to-value service available," said Michael Scarpati, TPU Business Director at BASF.

"Aligning with distribution partners that are focused on selling elastomer materials will provide our customers a higher level of customer service, support and technical expertise in injection molding and extrusion processing."
