COLUMBUS, Ohio - Committed to providing quality products to original equipment manufacturers for more than 100 years, Buckeye Shapeform is pleased to announce its STAR supplier status from the Electronic Systems division of Lockheed Martin, a global security company. Buckeye Shapeform supplies various products to Lockheed Martin, including deep-draw technology for the tactical missile group.
"We are honored to be known as a STAR supplier for this prestigious company," says Ken Tumblison, president of Buckeye Shapeform. "We serve numerous Lockheed facilities and we constantly strive for high ratings for on-time quality work and products."
Buckeye's nomination for the STAR award originated from the Missile and Fire Control division of Lockheed's Electronic Systems, a business area of Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin gave high grades to Buckeye Shapeform's product quality, delivery and performance rates, management and administration. Quality and delivery performance must be 98% or better to qualify for this award, with Buckeye Shapeform among a limited number of firms obtaining STAR status.
"This award signifies Lockheed Martin's Electronic Systems' continued satisfaction with the business we have conducted with Buckeye Shapeform," says Douglas Goerke, sourcing director for Lockheed Martin's Electronic Systems.
Buckeye Shapeform also received Lockheed Martin's preferred supplier status in 2008. This additional STAR award will build upon the company's goal for a long-term partnership with Lockheed Martin.
