World's Leading Producer of Cutting Tools to Serve as an Official Sponsor of SHR
Fair Lawn, New Jersey, June 18, 2009 - Sandvik Coromant has formed a technical partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team co-owned by two-time Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart and Haas Automation. The partnership allows the cutting tool manufacturer to become an official team sponsor, while providing SHR with all of its indexable tooling needs for its Haas CNC machines.
Sandvik Coromant will add another dimension in technical expertise for SHR when it comes to finding machining solutions and employing the industry's latest techniques. It also strengthens Sandvik Coromant's relationship with Oxnard, Calif.-based Haas Automation, the largest CNC machine tool builder in the western world.
"From an SHR and Haas Automation standpoint, this partnership with Sandvik Coromant gives us the best of both worlds," said Joe Custer, executive vice president for SHR.
