Erie, Pa.- Eriez' 2008 Business and Marketing Conference took place recently in Erie, Pennsylvania at the Erie Bayfront Sheraton Hotel and adjacent Bayfront Convention Center. The event attracted about 120 attendees from Eriez® Field Sales Offices and Affiliate Plants around the world.
The conference addressed the present state of the company, corporate plans for the future and common opportunities and challenges faced by every business unit within the Eriez family. "This conference was a perfect opportunity to bring together our reps and sales staff to talk about what makes us successful, and how we can further our success even more," said Charlie Ingram, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Even with the current economic conditions, Eriez reports record growth. Ingram credits Eriez' major strength as its broad product offerings for diverse industries.
Bryan Shirley, President and CEO of the Manufacturer's Agents National Association (MANA), acted as the keynote speaker. In his speech to attendees, he highlighted the benefits of a harmonious relationship between sales representatives and manufacturers. He also shared proven techniques that help reps strengthen their businesses.
"We were very fortunate to have Bryan speak to the group," said Ingram. "He is engaging and insightful. We all walked away with some great advice and information," he added.
Conference attendees listened to the managers from each of Eriez' international affiliates report on the latest news at their facilities. Visitors also toured Eriez Headquarters and production facilities. Trips to the Erie-West facility, home of the company's revolutionary ProSort and FinesSort® Metal Recovery Systems assembly as well as Eriez' aftermarket service center, were also provided.
