Peak Beam Systems, Inc., manufacturer of high-intensity illumination products, announced today that the company has released a new ultra-lightweight, long-running Lithium-Ion battery system for its flagship product, the 7,500,000 CandlePower Maxa Beam Searchlight.

The New Lithium-Ion Battery offers a significant leap in technology over older battery chemistries. The Li-Ion is lighter weight and has a longer run time than the traditional NiCad Maxa Beam Battery. The Li-Ion Battery also features a five-level LED fuel gauge and a built-in multi-voltage quick charger. "The Lithium-Ion Batteries significantly improve the performance and portability of the Maxa Beam Handheld Searchlight and we are very excited to announce that the batteries are now in stock and ready to ship," said President Jean McManus.
