Siemens PLM Software Release date: October 27, 2008
PLANO, Texas, October 27, 2008 - Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced that one of its employees, Erica Simmons, global marketing manager, High Tech & Electronics Industry Marketing, received a 2008 All Stars in Technology award during the National Women of Color Technology Awards Conference in Dallas.
The 2008 All Stars in Technology award honors accomplished women of color who have demonstrated excellence as role models and leaders throughout their careers and continue to shape the course of business and technology. In addition to being recognized at the annual event, Simmons will be profiled in the 2008 National Women of Color magazine.
Simmons is being recognized for her career in the high tech industry where she has held various marketing and sales support roles for such software industry leaders as Oracle, i2 Technologies and Saba Software.
"I am really honored to receive this recognition along with all the other National Women of Color award winners. I have learned so much from working in this industry. It is exciting and fast-paced and holds so much promise for our future. Without reservation, I recommend this industry to all of the young women and men I meet," said Simmons.

An initiative of Career Communications Group Inc. (CCG), the National Women of Color Technology Awards Conference is designed to give recognition to some of America's most distinguished women of color in technology and business, aiming to address the under-representation of minority women in technology. It offers encouragement for women to seek careers in engineering and information technology. The awards were created to recognize the significant accomplishments of minority women in the digital world.
