Orion Corp.

Release date: October 30, 2008

Grafton, Wis. - (October 30, 2008) - Orion Corporation is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2008-a testament to its success in providing quality products to the power generation, oil and gas, petrochemical and marine industries all over the world. For four decades, Orion has established its name globally, not only as a leading manufacturer of hydrodynamic bearings for high-speed rotating machinery, but also as bearing experts.

"2008 was an extremely successful year for Orion Corporation," said Charles LaBahn, founder and owner of Orion Corporation. "We've had record order entry this year, a 38% increase over 2007, and we expect 2009 to be an even better year."

Beginning with just 42 employees in 1968, Orion Corporation has expanded its Grafton, Wis. and Columbus, Neb. facilities on several occasions, keeping pace with its steady increase in business over the years. Most recently, Orion has completed a building expansion and added several new CNC machine tools at its Grafton facility, extending the facility's production capacity by approximately 25% to help keep up with increasing market demands for its products. Orion currently employs over 250 people, and is looking to hire 15-20 new machinists before the end of this year.

Producing high quality products has always been a priority for this flourishing company. Orion's Quality Management System has been ISO 9001:2000 certified for 14 continuous years. Their engineers and other veteran staff members are known for having the highest level of technical expertise to successfully meet all of their customers' needs.

In addition to being a successful company throughout its 40-year history, Orion has also been a strong corporate citizen, sharing its success financially with its employees and the community.
