The PEMSERTERŪ Series 3000(TM) automatic press for installing self-clinching fasteners has received an "Innovation" award for excellence at the MIDEST Awards competition. The award was presented during the annual MIDEST exhibition for industrial subcontractors in November 2008 in Paris. The press is manufactured by PennEngineeringŪ.
The PEMSERTER system is the world's first fastener press benefiting from full servo actuation technology for clean, oil-free, and environmentally friendly operation, improved reliability, and minimized maintenance. The press can install fasteners permanently in thin-metal sheets up to 30% faster than traditional systems.
Other innovative features include PC-based programming, menu-driven touch-screen controls, and a patented LIGHTSTREAMŪ Operator Safety System. The press offers a 24"/61cm throat depth and can deliver ram force up to 16,000 lbs./71.2kN.
