Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company

Release date: September 15, 2008

New LCD Displays and Video Controller Software Offer Advanced Functionality.

Atlanta, GA (September 15, 2008) - Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company, continues to broaden their offering of video surveillance solutions here at ASIS 2008. Introductions include enhanced video controller software designed to interface with Panasonic DVRs and two new LCD displays.

"Our objective is to offer customer-driven integrated solutions that deliver superior functionality and interoperability," said J.M. Allain, President of Panasonic System Solutions Company. "Our new video control software allows systems designers and users to integrate our field-proven DVRs onto a software control platform for increased functionality and ease of use."

The new Panasonic PFW950 Video Controller provides full system wide control of Panasonic cameras and DVRs throughout a facility. Acting as a system controller and monitor using the Windows XP expanded desktop, the PFW950 Video Controller allows multiple video streams to be viewed in separate windows on one PC monitor while displaying maps, controls and system status. It also allows video streams to be saved and recalled, making it easy to create area patterns to enhance surveillance capabilities.

The new Panasonic WV-LC1900 (19" diagonal) and WV-LC1700 (17" diagonal) LCD Displays are designed with proprietary image processing technology to deliver exceptional images with greater sharpness and clarity. Panasonic's two new LCD displays are designed to provide longer life than conventional CRTs with significant energy savings and a smaller physical footprint.

Additional key features of the Panasonic WV-LC1900 and WV-LC1700 LCD Displays include: adaptive interlace/progressive converter technology to assure high picture image quality of moving images; 1,280 x 1,024 (SXGA) screen resolution; 500 lines of horizontal resolution; 2x BNC composite inputs with loop through outputs, S-Video and RGB for PC input; and a color palette of approximately 16.7 million colors.
