Kennesaw, GA (September 9, 2008) - A major aerospace manufacturer has contracted with Consolidated Engineering Company (CEC) for a drop bottom furnace, to be to be installed in a foundry for aerospace castings in Iowa.

The parts being treated are a critical component on the aircraft and must be treated in a precisely controlled manner. Upon inspection of the furnace specifications and engineering documentation, this customer felt that CEC had the superior design with regard to heat-up, thermal uniformity and quenching. Currently these parts are being processed using pit furnace equipment.
