McNichols Relocates Boston Office to Expanded Facility


New location in North Billerica is nearly double the size and features new fabrication capabilities

TAMPA, FL - June 3, 2008 - McNichols Company announced today the relocation of its Boston-area service center to North Billerica, MA. Moving to the newly constructed 36,850 sq. ft. space, which is nearly double its former location in Westford, allows the company to increase its fabrication services, offer an expanded inventory, and accommodate future growth.

McNichols, a family-owned and operated nationwide chain of metal service centers, is the nation's leading supplier of metal products with holes, serving domestic and international markets. This is the first of two major expansions this year for the $180 million company. McNichols' plans to open a new service center in Kansas City this summer.

Approximately 5,000 sq. ft. have been dedicated to fabrication services. The area includes two crane bays with 5-ton and 2-ton cranes, cantilever racking, additional band saw and forklift. The fabrication area can produce a variety of value-added processes like plasma cutting, saw cutting, welding, shearing, iron working and painting. The area was designed to allow for more efficient product and process flow through the facility, and to accommodate large-scale fabrication jobs.
