ProSort's Advanced Design Will Improve and Streamline wTe's Processes
Eriez® announces that Greenfield, Massachusetts-based wTe® Recycling Corporation has placed an order for a 90-inch wide Eriez ProSort Metal Sorter. The equipment will be utilized by wTe's Metals Division, which processes both municipal and traditional ferrous and nonferrous metals using state-of-the-art equipment and methodologies.
"We are confident that the addition of the ProSort Metal Sorter to wTe's operations will increase efficiency and provide a significant return on investment," said Al Gedgaudus, Eriez Recycling Product Manager. Gedgaudus explains that with ProSort's electromagnetic "Six Pack" paddle system, scrap handlers save up to 75 percent of the cost of running a typical 125 HP air compressor plant.
About the Equipment
ProSort improves metal separation while functioning at a fraction of the cost of air power metal sorters. Two furthermore benefits include the reduction in monitoring compared to air sorters and an improvement in plant air quality with less dust creation.
Ideal for the scrap metals market, the U.S. patent-pending ProSort airless metal recovery system uses high sensitivity metal sensors aligned with low energy electromagnetically driven paddles to separate valuable metals from waste material. (A patent has already been issued in Germany for ProSort. Patent is pending in the United States.)
ProSort's unique modular design and alignment of sensors, paddles and controls allows the components to operate in different modes during a single cycle. Dual mode segregates waste material, ferrous metals, nonferrous and stainless steel in a single operation.
