MG Systems & Welding, part of the international Messer Group, is pleased to announce the promotion of Vice President of Marketing Ronald Schneider to the position of Vice President of Global Project Management. In this new position, Schneider will be coordinating the efforts of all three Messer plants: Menomonee Falls where he was the Vice President of Marketing; corporate offices/plant at Gross Umstadt, and Kunshan, China. He will coordinate global projects involving research and development and customer service.
"I see my new position as challenging, exciting and I look forward to living in a different culture," said Schneider. He will be moving to Germany for a year while he establishes his new position in Gross Umstadt, and will later move to China to review the operations of that plant.
As Vice President of Marketing, Schneider supervised personnel in project management, marketing and field service. He started at MG in 1978 as a Project Engineer. His past duties included Engineering, Service, Quality Assurance, Product Management, and Marketing.
Schneider will be handing over the duties of marketing and project management to Joerg Toberna in September. Toberna has worked for MG Systems for 27 years, mostly recently as Product Manager of the Precision line, which includes the MetalMaster Plus and the MPC.
MG Systems and Welding, Inc. is known as the premier manufacturer of thermal cutting machines. They use advanced plasma and oxyfuel cutting tools to cut shapes from metals. A full range of equipment is provided by MG Systems, with sales and service offices and dealers/distributors located throughout North America. All machines are assembled in the Menomonee Falls, WI plant.
