Igus, Inc.

Release date: April 16, 2008

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. - April 16, 2008- igus® has announced it will be exhibiting at this year's Automation Technology Expo from June 3-5 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. The bearings and linear guides specialist will be promoting its maintenance-free slide tables at the show, as well as its full suite of self-lubricating polymer plain bearings and linear guides.

DryLin® slide tables incorporate lubrication-free iglide® plastic liners, which makes them completely maintenance-free. These liners also confer a very low coefficient of friction, wear-and contaminant-resistance to the linear units, which can last in applications where expensive ball screw systems fail due to ingress of dirt.

High performance iglide plastic plain bearings are cost effective and interchangeable with metal, ball and bronze bearings. All iglide maintenance-free bearings are designed to deliver superior performance even in demanding environments and boast a low coefficient of friction, predictable wear and corrosion-resistance as standard. igus will also have samples of its reinforced polymer cable carriers and continuous-flex cables on display. Both are designed to reduce downtime by eliminating cable failure.

Billed as the East coast's largest event for automation solutions, the ATX East show will be co-located with MDM (Medical Design and Manufacturing) East, as well as East Pack, Atlantic Design & Manufacturing, Plastec East and the Green Manufacturing Expo. igus will be exhibiting at booth #3150 at the ATX show.
