Press Release

Analytical Solutions, Dow Corning

Release date: May 13, 2008

Dow Corning to Exhibit Enabling Technologies at the American Coatings Show

MIDLAND, MICHIGAN, USA: Dow Corning Corporation, a leading supplier of innovative silicone solutions for the coatings industry, will exhibit at the American Coatings Show, this June. At Booth 610, Dow Corning will feature its enabling technology platforms, which include proven Dow Corning® brand silicone additives and resins. The company will also showcase its silane-based water repellents for the protection of construction substrates.

Tradeshow visitors will learn how Dow Corning's cost-effective solutions provide unique advantages. For example, Dow Corning additives can be used to enable the performance of paints, coatings, printing inks, and overprint varnishes. And Dow Corning resins can improve the resistance of decorative, maintenance, and other protective coatings to extreme temperatures, moisture, corrosion, adhesion, and weathering. Visitors will also discover how Dow Corning's penetrating low-VOC water repellents can be used to formulate water-based, water-repellent primers, paints, and coatings for porous construction materials.

In addition to the company's show exhibit, Dow Corning's Commercial Development Manager for the Fluorine Business Group Steve Block will present Novel Chemistry Improves Surface Performance at the American Coatings Conference. The presentation will take place at 2:30 p.m., June 3, during the Dirt Pickup and Easy-to-Clean Coatings session.

Distributors of Dow Corning brand products, Ashland and Univar, will also have booths at the show.

The American Coatings Show will take place in conjunction with the American Coatings Conference from June 3-5, 2008, at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.

Dow Corning offers a comprehensive selection of innovative silicon-based additives, resins, and binders for the coatings industry, plus a broad range of construction chemicals.
