ABB Inc.

Release date: April 21, 2008

ABB Launches New 1-800-HELP-365 Dedicated Services Campaign for Power Products Customers

ABB North America Customer Service Center takes responsibility for all calls

Chicago, IL, April 21, 2008 - ABB, the leading power and automation technology company, announced today that the ABB North America Customer Service Center is now offering support for power transmission and distribution products.

The new dedicated services campaign will allow electric utilities and industrial plants to receive support for all of their electrical power equipment needs - including all ABB power products, as well as legacy and even competitor products - by dialing a single toll-free number: 1-800-HELP-365, Option 7.

"Option 7" of the North America Customer Service Center call tree has been reserved for electrical power product-related calls, and provides callers with immediate 24/7 access to professional ABB customer service representatives and a complete menu of support services, including:

o Field Service Requests

o Parts and Repair Ordering and Pricing

o Technical Support

o Training Information and Registration

o General Help Desk Assistance

Service and support calls from end-users, distributors and manufacturer's representatives are now being routed through the service center based in Wickliffe, Ohio.

"We are pleased to announce this benefit for ABB customers and for our entire Power Products organization," said Randy Schrieber, ABB Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Power Services. "This integration simplifies the mechanism for customers to access our company with one single call, and helps us to better manage our growth in the power industry."

The Customer Service Center takes ownership of all calls, no matter what product or service the customer is seeking, and assures that the appropriate ABB employee handles the call live or responds within a reasonable time. One call to 1-800-HELP-365 (or for international calls: +1 440-585-7804), Option 7, provides easy access to Power Products ranging from 600 volts to 800 kV - including transformers, relays, switchgear, breakers, capacitors and all high-voltage and medium-voltage products.

The ABB North America Customer Service Center in Wickliffe, Ohio, has an experienced staff, consistent call-handling processes, built-in customer-centric improvement process in place, and is ISO 9001-2000 certified. The service center routinely handles more than 200,000 calls per year. In addition to the ABB Power Products option, the service center also provides extensive support for other technologies, including: analytics, drives, drive systems, instrumentation, process control systems, quality control systems and robotics.
