Engineered Solutions to Provide Sales, Service and Support for Seegrid's New Generation of Robots Designed to Provide Automation, Flexibility and Cost Savings in Material Handling

PITTSBURGH - April 11, 2008 - Seegrid Corporation (www.seegrid.com), the premier provider of vision-guided mobile robots for the material handling industry, today announced that Engineered Solutions, a Division of Carolina Tractor, has signed on as its first Founding Distributor. As a distributor Engineered Solutions will sell, service and support Seegrid's industrial mobile robots within its regional dealership network, starting with the GT3. The GT3 tugger/tow tractor (3000 lb. capacity) is Seegrid's first vision-guided robot designed to free up skilled employees by taking care of non value added work such as pulling flatbed carts and positioning supplies in tight areas.

"Engineered Solutions has an impressive track record for its expertise and innovative solutions in the material handling industry and for providing impeccable customer service and support," said Joel Reed, Seegrid's Director of Channel Sales. "Seegrid solutions offer distribution partners an opportunity to increase revenue and truly differentiate in the market. Our products, starting with the GT3, represent a paradigm shift in the industry. Our robots are based on industrial mobile robotics technology which means they use no lasers, tape or wires. They provide unprecedented flexibility at a considerably lower cost."

"We are always looking for new solutions that provide real value to our customers," said Tom Currier, Major Accounts Manager, Engineered Solutions. "Seegrid's robots not only distinguish us from our competitors but also open up new applications and accounts for us. Customer response has been impressive and we are quickly filling our pipeline. With their flexibility, low cost and ease of use, Seegrid's solutions are going to expand the use of automation in the material handling industry."

Engineered Solutions, coupled with its sister Division, LiftOne, provides a vast array of material handling products, supported by an award-winning service group. The organization has eight branch locations in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia (headquartered in Charlotte, NC). The company offers a wide range of equipment to fill customers' specific needs, including: all classes of lift trucks, representing 4 of the top 7 brands in the world; specialty equipment, such as narrow aisle and very narrow aisle; attachments, batteries and chargers, as well as complete facility design and systems integration.

About Seegrid Corporation Seegrid (www.seegrid.com) brings a new class of affordable industrial mobile robots to the material handling industry that operate reliably and safely in dynamic warehouse, distribution and manufacturing environments. Seegrid's robots differ from today's AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) in that the company's IMR technology is the first to provide early-stage capabilities of autonomous robot behavior with Sense, Move, Analyze, Interact and Repeat capabilities. The result-AGV-like competence but with greater flexibility at a considerably lower cost. IMR-enabled robots provide WalkThroughThenWork(TM) capabilities, providing an operator with the ability to simply and easily instruct the robot along a desired path, adding behaviors such as horns and stop stations, usually in minutes. Seegrid robots literally come straight off the truck, an operator quickly inputs the path and the robot is immediately productive.
