ADAMS Magnetic Products, Co.

Release date: March 31, 2008

Elmhurst, Illinois - Strategically positioning itself close to its customers, Adams Magnetic Products Co.'s new production line in Sonoma, Calif., now offers the West Coast market quick-turn flexible magnets plus its full-service production and converting capabilities.

"This expansion allows us to provide customers west of the Mississippi with the most capabilities for flexible magnets and the opportunity to respond even more quickly with samples, prototypes and high-volume requests," says Adams' General Manager Kerry Buntrock. He predicts, "By the end of the year, we expect our combined Sonoma and Illinois operations to provide the industry's best lead times and most reliable delivery for cut, scored and sheeted flexible magnetic materials."

Company president Scott Lewis agrees, "I would like to offer lead-times of three days or less or your order's free. We're not quite there yet, but we're pushing ourselves toward this goal. If we can accomplish this, our West Coast customers will benefit not only from the quickest lead-times in the industry, but also freight savings. No longer do they have to wait and pay the freight costs for their orders to come from the East Coast or the Midwest. They can get it from us in their own backyard."

Adams' California location stocks a large variety and quantity of the most popular magnetic products and has the capabilities to produce magnets of virtually any shape and size. Adams' flexible magnets are made of thermoplastic material that can be bent and flexed without affecting their performance. They can be magnetized using several different methods to fit various applications. These products typically are ordered as strips and sheets, pre-cut sign blanks, high-energy strips and shapes, cardholder and c-profile holders, and as write-on/wipe-off strip rolls.

The resulting magnets most commonly are used in signage, displays, and fixtures for retailers, warehouses, offices, schools and other commercial environments. Other Adams customers incorporate the cut-to-size flexible magnets as elegantly discrete, yet secure closures in packaging systems, portfolios and more.

Buntrock proudly adds, "Adams already has established a reputation for high quality, highly competitive pricing and excellent customer service across the U.S. This is largely attributed to our experienced staff and consultants, many with more than two decades of industry expertise and steadfast client relationships."

"For more than 50 years, we have set the standard for designing and manufacturing innovative magnetic products and assemblies," boasts national sales manager Craig Myers. One of the oldest U.S. companies in the industry, Adams' staff draws from a depth of engineering, fabricating, coating, testing, sourcing, handling, and distributing expertise managing inventory and delivery to coincide with customers' production cycles and schedules.

Buntrock summarizes, "We have the right equipment, the right people and we know there's an entire market west of the Mississippi that's been waiting for more affordable, available flexible magnet."
