IDEAL Donates Data Communications Tools to BICSI for First Annual Cabling Skills Challenge
SYCAMORE, IL, March 21, 2008 -- IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC., a leading innovator in data communications solutions, is giving America's most accomplished information transport systems (ITS) installers the opportunity to use its equipment when showcasing their skills at the first annual BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge. IDEAL has agreed to donate more than $3,400 in testers, hand tools and supplies for the event to be held at the 2008 BICSI Spring Conference, April 27-30, in Nashville, Tennessee.
The BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge pits teams of contractors against one another to test such skills as cable terminating, assembly, troubleshooting, support and overall professionalism, as they compete for the title of Installer of the Year.
Donated items from IDEAL include OmniSeal Pro XL compression tools, coax and UTP strippers, VDV Multimedia testers, Tuff-Grip fish tapes, Ratch-A-Nut screwdrivers, connectors, and various punch down tools.
IDEAL has been active in supporting professional trade organizations over the years including BICSI, NECA, and the NJATC. In addition, the IDEAL Foundation is a long-time supporter of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The United Way, and Junior Achievement as well as local causes such as the Sycamore YMCA, the Sycamore Public Library, and the Sycamore Natural History Museum.
