Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery, Inc.

Release date: March 25, 2008

Sturtevant, Wis. - James P. Navin, President of Spee-DeeŽ Packaging Machinery, Inc., recently announced that the company has relocated its corporate headquarters to a new, state-of-the-art production facility. "The significant growth Spee-Dee has experienced during the past several years has rendered our existing facility too small to accommodate a rise in sales and the 25% increase in our workforce that has occurred within calendar year 2007. Our new building features more than twice the production space of our previous facility and opens the door to future expansion opportunities when required," he concluded.

David Navin, the Business Development executive responsible for the expansion transition, stressed the many benefits customers will enjoy as a result of the innovatively configured plant layout. "In designing our production space, we incorporated a variety of LEAN manufacturing strategies to promote a production process that is logical and highly efficient. As a result, we will now be able to provide a more efficient turnaround on equipment orders," he explained.

When developing the building's internal architecture, the Spee-Dee expansion team also recognized the increasing importance customers now place on factory acceptance testing and incorporated a spacious testing center. "We are now able to more closely simulate how our customers' equipment will perform once it is fully operational within their facilities. The additional space will also allow us to integrate complementary equipment such as conveyors, check weighers and infeed systems from other manufacturers," David Navin concluded.

Spee-DeeŽ has maintained its presence within Sturtevant, Wisconsin, which is conveniently located in the center of the Milwaukee/Chicago corridor. The new address is: 1360 Grandview Parkway, Sturtevant, Wisconsin, 53177. All corporate phone, fax and e-mail addresses remain the same.

Spee-DeeŽ Packaging Machinery, Inc. is a premier quality manufacturer of equipment to measure and fill dry products in consumer size containers (bags, bottles, pouches, cans and cartons). Spee-Dee was a pioneer in the development and manufacture of both servo auger and servo volumetric cup fillers. Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery serves a global base of clients in diverse market segments, including the food, chemical, pharmaceutical and agricultural industries. Now in its third decade, the company boasts a star-studded client roster of industry giants and Fortune 500 companies. A history of innovative electrical and mechanical design and programming, coupled with advanced technology and unparalleled customer service, support Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery's position as an industry leader.
