Con-way Selects MicroStrategy Software for Enterprise Performance Management

MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 28 -- MicroStrategy® Incorporated (NASDAQ:MSTR), a leading worldwide provider of business intelligence software, today announced that Con-way Inc. (NYSE:CNW) has selected MicroStrategy's Business Intelligence Platform(TM) for performance management applications across its enterprise. Con-way is a $4.7 billion freight transportation and global logistics services company.
As its primary performance management software platform, Con-way plans to use the MicroStrategy applications throughout its operating companies to perform a number of different analyses and reporting activities, including:
o Creating and examining performance metrics and conducting analyses across multiple areas of its business operations o Automating and improving the timeliness of performance and operational reports o Building improved business monitoring and forecasting tools
Once fully deployed, Con-way expects the business intelligence applications to be used by some 3,000 employees in sales, operations, and finance.
