Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment Ltd. Release date: February 26, 2008
LONDON and NOTTINGHAMSHIRE, UK, Feb. 26 - Guest-Tek International Group Limited-Tek, a wholly owned subsidiary of Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment Ltd., ("Guest-Tek") (TSX:GTK) has announced an agreement ("Agreement") with Center Parcs UK, a leader in the United Kingdom leisure and hospitality marketplace. In this Agreement, Guest-Tek has been selected to provide their OneView(TM) Internet platform providing wireless ("WiFi") high speed Internet access ("HSIA") into Center Parcs' 400 acre resort, Sherwood Forest, located in Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom.
Sherwood Forest's WiFi network has been designed to enable HSIA connectivity for guests in premium accommodations and throughout numerous other locations on the 400 acre resort. Guest-Tek will also provide HSIA support to the guests, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
"Guest-Tek has been able to provide us with a WiFi solution to meet our unique property requirements and expansive physical layout", said Kerry Moakes, Head of IT at Center Parcs UK. "Sherwood Forest guests are able to link in to the Guest-Tek WiFi network by simply connecting to one of the numerous strategically located access points."
In addition, Center Parcs in 2008 has plans to deploy a WiFi network into Center Parcs' Elveden Forest location. Ultimately the intention of Center Parcs is to follow this with further deployments at the 2 remaining Parcs in the UK at Longleat and Whinfell.
Currently, Center Parcs operates four Villages in the UK, each set in a forest environment, typically 400 acres in size and provides high quality accommodation in fully equipped villas, apartments and lodges which are set amongst trees and streams. Each Village offers an extensive range of sports and leisure activities plus numerous restaurants, bars, and retail outlets as well as an Aqua Sana Spa facility. Woodland, water, and a natural healthy environment are key elements of a Center Parcs Village.
