Press Release

APCON, Inc.

Release date: January 30, 2008

APCON Matrix Switches Chosen for Inclusion in Network Infrastructure at 2008 INTEROP Events

Wilsonville, Ore. - January 30, 2008 - APCON, Inc. today announced that its INTELLAPATCH(TM) matrix switches have been selected for use in the computer network infrastructure deployed at several 2008 INTEROP industry trade events. This includes the INTEROP tradeshow expositions in Las Vegas (April), Sao Paulo (August) and New York (September).

APCON was chosen from among dozens of contenders for one of only 17 participant slots available in the network. APCON's contribution, consisting of several INTELLAPATCH Layer-1 matrix switches and TITAN network management software, will be deployed in the Protocol Analysis area of the network to provide connectivity management for network monitoring and analysis devices.

"The INTEROP selection is an exciting opportunity for us," said Richard Rauch, APCON president and CEO. "It acknowledges the proven capability of our technology, particularly in mission-critical network environments."

APCON's technology will enable an INTEROP engineering team to deploy monitoring and network security appliances in a centralized location, and then electronically move and share the devices, without dispatching operations personnel or disrupting the network infrastructure. This will make it possible to quickly detect, isolate and resolve any problems that may arise.

The specific configuration APCON is providing to INTEROP has not been finalized but is expected to include several 144-port INTELLAPATCH chassis, with an array of blades to support any media type required for the network. To simplify the management of this array of switches, APCON TITAN network management software will also be utilized to provide engineers with a drag and drop canvas on which to perform device port moves, adds and changes in real time.
